A time to dry
Think I better let the paint dry for a while. Working out what colour the trees were going to be made me very nervous. I was so pleased when my son mentioned ... without prompting ... that he felt the tree colour added to the picture. Working in isolation can make you doubt your own vision sometimes.

That's really nice Lorna. A few baubles on the trees and you'll have a top-selling Xmas card I reckon ;-)
Think the Morris men wear more then enough decorations! ;-)
It's so pleasant (if not an exception), to be able to come over to someone's blog and say "I like your work" and really mean it. (Harsh though that sounds!)
I'll have to bookmark this and come back again. i particularly enjoy looking through the different stages of a person's work, picking up tips, and seeing alternative methods to one's own.
I get rather impatient in my own work, moving from one basic under painting stage to the final item. So I'm looking forward to viewing these images more closely.
I agree with Keith about the tree - I reckon that if you do this as a card it'll be a best seller.
BTW - good idea about having some of your Morris pics printed as post-cards. Perhaps they might sell them at Evenlode DIY as well as Sandy's?
