Thank you all for the good wishes you sent me. My voice still does not work ... first thing in the morning it takes some effort to even get it to squeak!
Work on this picture has speeded up but there is still away to go. If you click to enlarge there is a dead bug in front of the lady's face. I've now taken glass cleaner to the scanner ... now!

The bug would certainly add a surreal element ;) This is coming along very well, I love the way you’re blending the fine ink stippling with the watercolour…I’m planning on combining ink and watercolour for some summer exhibition pictures…:)
It’s going to be very interesting to see how this develops, the smooth, curvy young woman with the old, hard stone buildings…a very interesting take on things :)
