Getting there
I have now moved on to oils mixed with medium. I am reasonably pleased with progress and am looking forward to using colour and opaque passages.

I like the defined, graphic nature of the garden wall, the contrast with the soft stone of the cottage and the strong effects you’ve got going on the roof…you’re building up a very welcoming, comforting image of a home…which is exactly the brief I guess :)
I am trying to get a sense of space between the wall and the cottage but suspect that I have overdone it.
I think you've got it working well from what I can see here :)
