'Remembered coolness'

'Remembered coolness'
canvas, acrylic, oil
18. x 12.
Lorna Marrison

I like seeing the light out of the darkness. Here I pushed the colour cool colour inside and then warm bright ones in the outside. The houses on the other side of the street are in shade and I had to  really struggle to work out how to have 'warm' shade. Do you think it works?

Edit. Have re-photographed the paintings.

Yes. You’ve definitely got the feeling of a warm summers day in the middle distance in this on Lorna. :)

You are not convinced about warm colours in the shadows?
