'24 Newlands' process 1

I drew straight on a blue acrylic painted canvas (18.0 x 12.5 cm) with charcoal and chalk. This is yet again round the corner from where I live.

It is a small canvas so your nice carving will not show.
:)…you can barely see the carving when you’re stood right at the door…I’ll make it much bigger on the next one :)
Sorry Lorna. I was being very cheeky. Its looking very promising and I'm curious to see how it develops - especially what tones and colours you are going to use. Is there a special reason for starting off with blue?
The blue coloured canvas is the mid-tone of the shadows. You can see another step by step example at
