I like the contrast between the texture of the figure and the clean backdrop, very striking. Are you planning on painting it that way…assuming you’re planning on painting it, rather than keeping it in Photoshop…btw, I look at him and think his fishing rod has broken…I have no idea what you girls are taking about…;)
I was interested in the movement you gained with the flowing lines in your watercolours so decided to experiment in Photoshop. I like the texture also but have no idea how I am interpreting it in paint.
I see no fishing rod! ;->
It would be a challenge to achieve that exact look from scratch on paper…Copic pens, Gouache and Crayon might give you an approximation of what you have there…but it would be a challenge ;)
The overall feel of the image though reminds me of soft pastels…perhaps that might be a way to go…?
I really like this how it is. From a commercial pointof view this would make a fantastic postcard wink wink only a few weeks before Artsgroup Summer expo x
