Co-op
Trying now to find a better place to photograph my canvases now. I pop this on the radiator which has an even light and took the photo from a further distance. It's better but still not right.
I felt the Co-0p was an important door to paint as it was on my circuit but the frontage in the day time is not a thing of beauty. I do like silhouettes and a lot of my photos are contre-jour. So I earned some serious looney points lurking across the road from the store in the night. This time I am not working against the sun but the interior lights and trying to focus interest on the boundary between 'out' and 'in'. Interestingly some of the local people visiting the studio could not recognise it till they were told.

Wentworth House
I have still not resolved my difficulty in photographing these small oil canvases. Any advice would be welcome.

Snow 2010
Snow in this village is not usual and to have more then a couple of days almost as rare as hen's teeth. So whilst waiting for my oil panels to dry produced this coloured drawing showing the excitement the snow caused.

Settling into the New Year
This is last five of the 'door series' all in various stages of finish. I have had great fun with this series and feel that my work has improved as a result.
I have been getting to grips with 'Illustrator' recently. So when I was asked to donate some cooking related images for the new Eynsham cookbook I took this opportunity to work in this programme. It took longer then drawing in traditional media but it can only improve with practice.
