Employment

Painting does not provide me with an income. I am on the look out for employment as a designer ... not freelance anymore as I need a steady income. Email me if you would like to see my CV.

Colour

Getting a good photograph is going to be a problem. I am not going to take this outside when there is wind and my lighting is very makeshift. The paint colour is not blue enough but for now it is enough for me to chart process.

Miss T disporting herself

This is the largest I have worked for a very long time. Canvas size is 126 x 101 cm approx. I have gridded up from the sketch and photo as it is difficult to draw easily when moving to and fro across a distance. It has taken 5 hours today to get to this point with coffee breaks and sulks at the washing up. Tomorrow is another day ...

Oh yes ... the glasses are driving me nuts!!!

"Painting Miss T"

Started work again on the "sexy portrait" of my friend 'Miss T.' A lot of discussion has gone on about what was wanted from this painting. We talked about the wearing of a 'mask' of vanity in portraits because as ladies of size we are sensitive to society's' attitudes. A, her husband, has some very definite ideas on this subject. She, very bravely, has decided to allow me to be the arbiter of the result because she wanted a good painting rather then flattery.

"Bones" is done!

I have signed the painting and will need to varnish mid December. This painting took me through some very interesting processes both technical and personal.

Rib Bones

Sun is shining and the birds are singing ... I am at last very happy with this painting! Hopefully it will be finished in the next fortnight.

Tat idea 1

This is rocks with waves crashing. The shape will be organic (with no straight edges) allowing for further development of the image on body
